Let's not waste any time.

First and fivemost, here's the video itself. This one's a bit unique, so the "how I made this" section will probably be worth a read.

Why Is This Here, Mr. Animator?

That's a fair question, so fair that I asked that too. But something about this project has always stuck with me. It had to fit somehow, like a question that had to be answered, like walking into a mystery I didn't understand, and deciding to solve it anyway.

Fortunately, I managed to solve it. So lemme pop on my trillby and stick my foot in the door for...

The Professional Element

Most of my work starts the same way: I don’t know exactly where I'll wind up, only what I need to do, and how I'll get there. And then I figure it out. Across jobs, courses, and projects, I adapt fast, solve problems, and leave things better than I found them. This project is the clearest example of my worker mindset in action, and that's the real reason why it's here. Well, other than

Survive, Adapt, A...ward?!

What started as a “I HAVE to do live action?!” moment turned into a  strong final project, a solid grade, and then, a few months later, a surprising Nevada State University Student Award nomination. Not too bad for my first serious foray into live action, and proof that jumping into the unknown works out for me. As for the story itself,

The idea came from a game of Clue, which I finally won… by accidentally catching myself as the killer. Instead of treating that as failure, I pivoted hard, to avoid the bad "this win's actually a loss" coming for me. (Or as I call it, a Dodge Roll.)

Colonel Mustard, drunk and celebrating with Mr. Boddy, accidentally commits the murder—then wakes up with no memory and is called in to investigate it himself. The mystery becomes internal. The dread builds, and the punchline becomes a story worth telling, and worth remembering, of when my loss-win, turned into an award-nominated short film. That’s what you can expect from me.

I take chaos, confusion, and “this shouldn’t work” and turn it into something that does.

So, What do you say? Are you in?

That's the end of this game, how about going back to the Projects Page and watching something else?

Currently, I'm working on "Grad Tidings," a project of projects where I expand my better college assignments into full-fledged animations. Right now the focus is on "Legacy Of Death," a high fantasy tale with an everyman Necromancer investigating an inter-kingdom mystery. He gets entangled in a world-sized threat, so it must have been a Monday, especially since the Magical Hero Knight, General Reeves, is hot on his heels the whole way.

After that, I'm looking at "C.L.A.U.D. AR," a sci-fi take on the classic Dracula tale. I've made Dracula a parasitic swarm of high-powered nanites, in a handsome android shape. Draining blood replaces it with nanites, which convert the matter into more of itself from within. It pits the need and inevitability of progress against the threat of unrestrained progress, in a no-holds barred, high-action, deep question asking slugfest.

This'd take hours to read if I listed all my ideas here, so let's call it there for now, but I'll keep you posted on what I'm up to here.

Dr. Spark is holding a jackhammer, hard at work on the content that's under construction right now!
